Projeto Vida | Logo & brand identity
Projeto Vida is an initiative from ACVM: a catholic institution from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, that is dedicated to helping homeless people leaving in extreme situations.
Among its activities are the donation of clothes and toys, the availability of showers for personal hygiene, professional psychological counseling, and a weekly free dinner, open for everyone that will attend.
I was tasked to create a logo and a visual identity, as well as photographing the initiative.
The logo idea came from the process of rooting a branch: planting a broken branch to grow an entirely new tree out of it. Since the homeless were often stigmatized and treated as "broken" people, the metaphor felt appropriate.
